OCTANE LIMITED EDITION!

Post by tristan20 »

Hi, anyone know how many they made? I read that they made 200, is that true?

Also if you own one of these beauties whats the serial number?

Mines ends with 0002, does that mean its number 2?

I found some info on a website, I cant remember where. I will update when I get it. On that site it showed the guy that NAMED the amp. "OCTANE" PG flew him out to their factory and he got the very first one.

Phoenix Gold held a contest on its website to name its limited edition amplifier. After an exhaustive search through over 17,000 unique entries, a panel of Phoenix Gold judges finally chose ERIC FLOWERS’ entry; “OCTANE”.

The company flew Eric in to thePhoenix Gold factory to pick-up his amplifier in person and to see how it was hand-built in Portland, OR.

Upon completion of the tour, Eric was quoted as saying, “I never knew how BIG Phoenix Gold was!

”OCTANE, the newest amplifier from the Phoenix Gold “limited”collection. Based on performance upgrades, this exclusive 3 channel amplifier offers 800 watts of output power and includes a dedicated mono section optimized for bass hungry installations.

i think he is considering the larger side of the octane a mono channel because it is generally used to drive sub(s) being fed a mono signal.
