So I bought that ID mid and tweet from old one eye, Juan.

Anyways, the mid arrived not working but it was brand new. So I got a refund and was allowed to keep the tweet. Useless like, but a very nice gesture.

So, I decided to buy these from Juan instead, for a really amazing price like. I wont go into how much because he still sells stuff here and I dont want people to low ball him. But we both came to an agreement so to speak because I felt bad about the ID and wanted us both to be happy :)

So, here is what I got like, WEEKS ago I paid for these.

Proper component 6x9s at a price you couldnt even get a shit set from walmart for. You can get them on clearout from some sites for about $130, which is a deal tbh :)

Well then all the shit kicked off back in Jersey and I had to leave. I have been fighting with UPS ever since as Juan seems to be on vacation or something

In the end I got REALLY mad and said to the UPS operator

"look, mate. Why don't you stop wasting some poor fucking delivery driver's time, YOUR companies gas and pieces of paper and time spent to email me trying to deliver to an address that noone fucking lives at and stop being a bellend and send it here !" - this was after 2 weeks of arguing with them over redirecting it, me telling them I didnt live there and them fucking trying to deliver it four times anyway.

Seriously I was literally about to say "fuck it" and give up and then I finally got a supervisor. They'll be here on monday.

And I'm so much back in love with my car again that I cant wait. All I have left to do now is the trunk and my 100% original idea thats a suprise til its done :D

theyre running in stereo from the zx. and honestly they sound amazing..

I thought of writing a bit of a review but I'll keep it short, and say this -

Woofers (the actual 6x9s) 8/10

Beautifully made. The cones are really bizarre and look like spiders web, one visual point theyll look metal then they look like some kind of futuristic asbestos. REALLY unusual, not seen anything like it before. And stiffer than a pornstar on viagra.

Huge magnet too and a near on 2" VC.

The sound is stonking though, these things thump so hard it's unreal. I am really amazed at the bass response out of them and SO pleased because now I can turn off the sub and just use speakers a la carte instead of having that beast of a sub on all the time (esp for more delicate music)

Bad sides of woofer.

Shit basket (WTF steel on a $250 set of mids???) shit terminals (come on eclipse you can do better @ this price even the shit dub audio things I had had better than this shite !)

Tweeters. 9/10

The wire coming out was thin and I was a bit worried at first. Theyre only 1" but theyre REALLY heavy, consider that the boxed mids and tweets in their packaging weigh 10 pounds ! But the tweets sound AMAZING. These are titanium, the specs I posted are sort of mine and sort of others, and the phase 'bullets' on mine are black in color, not silver like the pics

I truly do not have a bad word to say about these tweeters, and that would be a first for me. I worked for Swisstone (aka rogers) making speakers for the BBC and these tweeters are up there with them. They sound utterly amazing.

Options 10/10

They call these 'point reference' for a reason. I have never seen 6x9 components before (though I am sure they make them I have never looked around for them) but the options of install with these make them a winner, Fujitsu Ten really DO make sure that these are some of the most flexible when it comes to install.

They come with....

Phase plugs for removing the tweeters (plastic bullets for woofer center)
Tweeter stacks (so you can run them right down inside the woofer)
Tweeter extensions (so you can run them @ woofer surround level)
Tweeter flush mounts (so you can cut them into a panel)
Tweeter solo mounts (so you can have them on a panel instead of in it.)

I went for the last option. My tib has a plastic/fabric grille that clips over the 6x9 once it is loaded into it's factory position in the back. I offset the tweeter and aimed it @ the listening position using the solo mounts (theyre like small bubbles) so that the tweet is about 3" from the end of the woofer (not to far to be out of the spectrum)

Crossover 6/10

Mine look NOTHING like the ones in the pic. Those are huge, mine are tiny (about 1.5" x 2") and only cross over the tweeter on mine. I would imagine mine are last years model but for the price I paid I just can not complain.

Their only saving grace was the jumper settings where you can cut from a -2db setting to a +6db setting to fine tune them to the woofer, which was a very unusual touch)

Build quality on the XO is somewhat shoddy, and Fuji 10 dont really give you any other option than to have them within 8" of the tweets. They do look pretty though, so I broke mine apart and resoldered long wires into them and put them on my amp board in the trunk. This required double wiring to the location of the speakers but whatever, it looks really nice and I have had a void to fill on that board since removing the subwoofer crossover (rear style) and replacing it with my 1/2 din fusion up front.

So over all I would not pay $250 for these. You can get a low end set of morel for around the $200 mark and they would probably sound better than these. But, the F10s are available for around $130 for last seasons model, and at that price they just cannot be beaten. The build could be better, but I would imagine most of the money has gone into the oh so futuristic cone matierial and the tweeters. And of course that is what makes the sound so the most important part of R&D.

So overall they get a very impressive 8/10, which when you consider in all the flaws I spotted and so on it's a score really that could have been a 9.

Would you mind cross-posting that in the reviews section? It needs some love!
