HELP!!!!!

Need someone to help me set my gains. Id rather do it over msn, aim, or any type of instant messaging service. I do not have a multimeter. (Titanium amps).

I want to have the gains all the way up, then control with an lpl. The only thing is, when i connect the lpl to it, it doesnt do anything at all. Im pretty sure i got the gains set properly now, it sounds much better. I just wanna use an lpl now..

I don't usually go to 90%, more 75%. But I guess it depends on the HU.

I would rather reach maximum volume @ less than 90% of the HU's output, mind you I do use a sony lmao.

If you're using the LPL I'm pretty sure the gain control on the amp doesn't do anything.

The gain still sets the maximum gain... the LPL lets you turn it down from there.

When i plug in the lpl, and the gains all the way up, the lpl doesnt do a thing. It has absolutely no affect, so im confused as to whats happening here. Also, when i have a song play a long bass note, at a high volume, the amp shuts off, then about 10 seconds later comes back on. Would this have to do with my electrical system at all?

I don't know what PG amp you have, but the ZX500.4ti I think only work of the rear channels when the rears are set to lowpass.

Sounds like you may be clipping the amp. You still have to adjust the gain otherwise your woofers may be the next to go.

Leave your LPL turned all the way down if you're going to do the remote gain trick. If you have your gains cranked and your LPL cranked you are going to break something. If the LPL is not reducing volume then there may be something wrong with it... check the wire leads on the pot to make sure none have broken off. They are extremely fickle.

In the mean time turn your gains waaay down until you get that LPL working.

That's what happened to my LPL. The way I mounted it to the dash along with not enough slack when the dash is off caused some leads to tear off and the LPL stopped doing anything.

I had to re-solder all the leads to be sure after that incident.

Yep, thats what happened with mine as well. Stipud helped me figure out all my problems. you the man Tom!
