Phoenix Gold Changes Name To Rodin

Post by dedlyjedly »

From what I see it looks like they're just changing the name of the corporate entity in order to help establish the Audiosource, and Carver brands and get it out from behind the PG Shadow. Doesn't seem to affect the PG brand name unless I'm interpreting this wrong. Nonetheless, I think there are better things they could be working on than a name.

Sounds like the car audio will still be called Phoenix Gold, it's just that Rodin will incorporate PG (car sound), Carver, Audiosource, and I assume the Rodin home line.

Rodinphorum.com just doesn't work does it...

Brian, I'm surprised you haven't dropped PG completely. Rodin is named after a famous french sculptor!!!

I would have preferred the name Odin to Rodin because norse mythology is way cooler than French sculpture :D

Appears there is a new website as well: http://www.rodinaudio.com/

"Sculpting better sound"... yep, definitely french sculptor influenced

At least there's FINALLY a new website for car audio: http://www.rodinaudio.com/pgMobile/index.php

No I am not photogenic, hence I usually look very high in any image. However I give them big props they spelled my name correct which is rare.

And you know people are going to pronounce it "Rotten Audio".

Give it, what, a year? I'd be looking for another job if I was there.

Since it's only the corporate identity, and the car audio branch is still called Phoenix Gold, I think we are still on track with our current naming.
