New Amp Rack with Fans for MS Amps

Post by soth »

Decided to try my hand at making a new amp rack for my MS/MPS amps. I've got two 80mm fans housed in them also. This one is not 100% finished. Probably around 90%, got some small things to do even though once finished the only thing visible to the end user will be the top of the frame so the bottom/sides won't be visible.

Let me know what you guys think.

Kevin

Pretty decent looking. Will know better once it's installed in a vehicle. ;)

LOL :) I'm feeling much better these days. I would have not had to take it easy for so long if I had went to the doctor when I first got sick instead of waiting 5-6 days later.

Next time I get sick i'm going to the doctor much sooner :)

Thanks stipud. At least when building desks/hutches or whatever you can hide some of those not so perfect edges with crown/base/corner molding :)

Thanks. I used to run my ms2125 at 2 ohm bridged and it never cut off on me. Ran it that way for several years, but it was never in that type of amp rack either. It was basically sitting on some carpeted plywood with another sheet that was raised to sit over top of it so I could have a flat surface to sit stuff on in my trunk.

I would think with the two 80mm fans it should be able to keep the amp cool.

....

Thanks Wakup.

Thanks. I was in the hospital for 2 days and on medication for 3 weeks and on a very strict diet. About 6 weeks later I had laproscopic surgery (outpatient) to remove my appendix. So it all worked out the best I believe in the long run :)
