Actually my posts stink, so once they're gone I'm sure more people are glad. At least you don't get flamed right away. Well unless you screw up say... a link....lolBfowler wrote:haha, yeah. its a pretty small forum.

its better then the forums where your thread falls off the first page before anyone can even see it

zing! haha, no i deserved that....we try and all be pretty considerate and anti-flaming round here. we are all for fucking around, but the kids the throw out "you suck at life" at every comment usually don't stay around long
(that wasn't directed at you btw, you fixed my error, took a jab, and that was that. problem solved, thread back on track, and on one's bent out of shape. i think you will fit in just fine round here! I'm sure you know all to well the types I'm talking about)

This forum certainly isn't big, but it's growing.
You joined, didn't you?
Every once in a while we get the guy who bought a PG amp and something doesn't work so he finds this site with google or similar resource. Once we fix him up with a solution to the problem, we never see them again. These guys rack up the member count but don't do much for the community. We tend to be pretty fast about answering these kinds of questions though... I don't suppose PG tech support has any problems with us dealing with their customer's problems
Then there are people like you who are interested in something besides support. Things like in-depth discussion, opinions, tips, to show off an install, etc. These are the people that either end up sticking around because the atmosphere is mellow and respectful or leave because the atmosphere is mellow and respectful. Nice, smart and fun people tend to fall into the former category while your standard "I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT AUDIO" ego-maniacs tend to fall into the latter category.
We've pushed away a couple bad apples so far and it's not really something that needed to be done administratively. The whole gang just short of collectively boo'ed the people in question off the phorum because they didn't have respect or know how to behave with other adults (or other, more subtle reasons) but of course, that's only been a couple times and usually it was said person's massive ego that clashed with our collective mellowness. I guess what I want to say is, we're generally not like that (boo'ing people off) but we do ensure that this place stays friendly by filtering out the assholes.
But yeah, even with a daily thread in the Chatroom and daily posts in Car Audio, this place isn't exactly "fast".... but I like it that way
