Replacing Crossover Pot on PG EQ 215ix

Post by MC_Bob »

Sorry to make a new thread/post it twice, but the other one was a bit long.

Basically the pot on my crossover needs replacing, I get noise from it. If I put contact cleaner in there, the noise dissapears for a while, but does come back.

Its called B10K on the side of the pot, and called R315 on the PCB.

Im having trouble finding a replacement for it.

Can anybody help?

Thanks

Call Pg and ask for Phil the service manager he can fix you up with the original part.
I would have to see a pic to say if I have one or not, or where you might find one other than PG..Hope this helps...C

I got one. It comes wrapped in a mint condition 215ix. Black finish though....... :D

PG will answer.

While spraying the pot, rotate the adjustment back and forth. This will assist in dislodging contaminents and may solve your problem. Later, eh.

BTW - Nice pix. Clear and precise. Quality photos really help those who can advise you, while at the same time, educate those who want to.

That appears to be a sealed up Pot and therefore cleaning will require some small holes being made in each section of the unit.
It also appears to be a 4 ganged pot, which means there are 4 separate wipers to clean.
Its a standard part used by many builders including PPI, Fosgate..etc..

Its value would appear to be 10 K ohm X 4 , I know I don't have one of these as I used it recently in a repair. PG would seem to be your best bet at this moment....C :)
