Isuzu Rodeo 92!

Post by timisu87 »

Plan on working on this car, the speakers in this car are shot. Half of them do not work and the car does not even have a cd player yet. I am curious to know what speaker size they are. Does anyone know? I am having a hard time finding information, after I know what size I am going to be ordering some speakers from Bfowler again.

Looks like its only 4 inches, kind of disappointing. But Bfowler, what can you suggest for me this time? I loved my last setup. I am thinking of putting a subwoofer into this car but something that isnt mounted into the car.

found this for you. http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY/Ro ... eo_iii.htm

it sure looks like you can fit 5.25's in there without to much work.

are these gonna be off deck power or an amp?

Amp! I will be getting a new headunit as well, any recommendations? This is my 2nd car and there is so much space to work with. Maybe even a subwoofer. 300-400 dollars?

you did pick up that tantrum for under 100 on ebay last time right?

if your budget is around 400, i would do this:

Kenwood x591 ($180 in crutchield, damn) http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/ ... 113KDCX591

front: RSD 5.25 coax's in the door (use the kenwoods built in highpass filter) ($50ish) i say coax becasue it will be more efficant on deck power, and they still sound quite nice. the tweet has an inline hp crossover still

amp: Tantrum 300.2 or xs2300 ($80-$100) ebay

SUB: RSD10, Tantrum10/octane ZR10 (same thing), or XS12 ($50-$75ish) (depending on condition, used/new)

timisu87, are the factory front speakers in the door or the dash? If in the dash, then yes, they are 4" speakers. Of course you could always make a new location in the doors by cutting and running wires thru the door jams.

I definitely will. The speakers in the back are housed by some box. The speakers in the front are inside the dash. They are not on the doors.
