Hi!
I have a SLD44 line driver set to pull out 9V with the volume set to 25\35 on my Alpine HU. Both my RSD Amps sens set to 8V, works great.
But now i`m going to put in a Basscube in the line, so my question is; how do i set the output with a DMM with the cube in the line? I guess the voltage will change when\if i`m adjusting the gain on the cube? Or should i just keep my hands away from the gainwheel on the cube? Or is it like the lpl44 , just a gaincontrol and not a real boostcontrol?

The basscube is a parametric equalizer with a subsonic filter thrown in the mix, and thus is nothing like the LPL44. Like all other eq's and processing, you want it set flat (or defeated) while using a DMM to set your amplifier gains. From there you'll want to use it with due caution as you will be able to take your amp above and beyond the levels as set with the DMM and into a state of clipping. I always use bass boost sparingly because it greatly increases the current consumption of your amp, but there are times when adding a little low frequency reinforcement is just the ticket. That's when your bass cube will come in handy.
