spl install

Post by bdubs767 »

For a friend's install he wants it loud and thats it. So Im desinging him a ported box with two RSd12ds off a x1200.1, but Im wondering if I should fire the box into the cabin and seal the subs off from the trunk or should I fire the subs backwards towards the end of the trunk.

What have you guys found to work better?

From past experiences, I've found firing them into the trunk does better. Gives it a small cabin gain effect.

If he can fold his seats down.....seal them in to the cabin firing forward.

you could slot load them into a vent in the rear deck.......

if your looking for overall pressure then sealing the trunk from front of baffle or

what they call walling off your trunk is the best solution
You may have subs in your car........but my doors sound better!

I would personally do subs back, aero ports to the side.. If he doenst want to do aeros, I would probably just fire both the subs and port to the rear of the car, with tons of port area..
