Going to install in sections "How to" ?

Post by Me-262 »

I'm not going to have time to install my entire system in a day, that's for sure. What I want to get done this weekend is install my head unit and since the dash is apart run the RCA's to the back. Here's my question. Since I won't have the RCA's hooked up to an amp they are just going to be sitting there. Since the deck will be sending a signal down the cables, I am thinking its a bad idea just to have them sitting there bare. Would there be a chance of shorting them out against the frame or one another ?

What would you suggest I do in the interm ? My first thought is to wrap each one in a little rag and run duct tape around them so they can't ground out. Suggestions ?

I would just tape them to a wall or something. Just keep them out of the way of moving objects and you should be fine.
