Getting back to the basics.

Post by smgreen20 »

I just won a Clarion 7770 off of ebay for $40.00

My first HU ever was the the one just under it, the 6770. Oh the memories.

I can't wait. I'll take pics of it when she arrives.
That's one of those things from where it all started from.

The 7770 was my first cd deck. It went in a car that was worth about what I paid for the 7770 too. Love those older decks. The only thing I didn't like was the display, almost impossible to see in the sun. I really miss that deck, but someone wanted it more than me i guess.

I still use my DRX8175 and cd605 that I bought to replace it. I also managed to find a dph9100 that I'm looking forward to trying out.

You're gonna love that DPH9100. I have a DRX9375R and the DPH9300 and only because the 9100/9300 are collecter items I can't part w/it or the HU.

I'll post some picks of it here in a bit.

On the subject of old H/U's, does anyone have a user manual (or a PDF copy of one) for an Alpine 7618??

I picked one up recently for my `Old School' style install but hav'nt got a manual for it. I've contaced Alpine, but they tell me it's too old and they don't have any manuals for it.

God, you'd think a unit like this which had such a following would be supported in some small way from the factory.

Thanks smgreen,

I'd looked at pacparts before and noticed they had some bits and pieces, but unfortunately not what I want

Was kinda hoping someone here may have one, or maybe know of one in existance somewhere I can get a copy of for a few $$$

Sorry for the slight threadjack
