for all MS 2125 lovers... look at this.

Post by nico boom »

This is the result of some sleepless nights, a very good friend, helping each other out already for years, and some money; new endplates for the MS2125.
Both versions; with- and without the master-slave jacks, plus some backside-plates.
The not-yet -powdercoated ones are ,for example, available for the grey versions, later to be coloured.
All the old endplates tend to rust on the edges, making them less attractive for most of us collectors.
Unfortunately, someone[yes, HE], seemed to have bought ALL the remaining endplates from PG, thus having the monopoly on these parts.
That is coming to an end here in Holland RIGHT NOW.
This is only the second stage in laser-cutting, powder coating, and silk screening, I'm working on the last stage now.
In fact; this is the first step to be able to produce end plates of all sorts and sizes/ models.
When all works out well, I'll be able to produce any plate, in any colour.
NOTE; I'm not opening a shop, and will not be able to give all of you guys endplates for free. :(
I will, however try to make some members happy with new endplates for a reasonable price, when this first try-out has succesfully completed.
I will update this post as my work progresses.
[like I said; it's not just a hobby for me  ].

I don't own any MS-2125's but that's pretty bad ass man.

You should start become partners with Cecil and start a PG re-fabrication company. Unfortunately, we'd bankrupt you and "Ronin" might not be so pleased... hehe.

Sweet, very sweet. Man, that is slick Nico.

Man while you are at it you should create shrouds for us that have 2500/2125's like the one on the 2250. I know marko has a shroud for the 2125, but I think they were very rare.

So are you guys’ sand or bead blasting these prior to powder coating so the finish actually sticks on the steel?

I have been working on a local source for making these parts as well. Unfortunately there are minimum quantities I have to meet, and even with all the enthusiasts onboard, I don’t see this happening without a huge investment on my part.

My plan is now to cut them out where I work, and have them coated at a place down the street. I just need a silk screening source and I will be all set.

I can't tell you much about the production process; I've put it in the hands of one of my best friends and his colleagues.
It's a company that engineers and produces high-tech gear for the agricultural world.
They do everything themselves, from raw iron to the tested end-product.
I'm sure they know what to do with those plates, to make that powdercoat stick.. 8)
As for the remark about fan-shrouds...
I'm sure I could have them made just as easy as the end-plates, and powdercoated, but what would you be willing to spend?
Though my friend and I have always helped each other out for 20 years+, I can't ask him to make them for free.
Let's say that first I'll pop that question next time I talk to him, and if he says "I can", we'll have to inventory how many of us want one, what colour, at what costs.
As I said before; I'm not gonna open a shop! Just want to get my ms2125's 100% again, and help my PG brothers here at the same time!
[though the table-cloth idea sounds nice... selling them like fruitcakes?]

My guess is that you are wrong.

The shroud for the 2125/2500 is similar to the MS275s (only in the right size  ), with only one large fan.

I will be back from work tomorrow, and can put out some photoes of my 275 shrouds that I have, in case there are anyone that have not seen them before...

It'll need a positive charge as the powder coating will be negatively charged. And a chemical bath to clean it of all oils and the like.

Where I work, they powder coat the rear frames.

I build semi trailers BTW.
