Well as you all know the tib is being done slowly but surely.

Well I like my rims but I dont like cleaning them, and they do have some curb rash that I didnt put there and are a bit scabby.

This isnt so much of a problem and I do like them but theyre not my kind of a rim tbh. I like 4-5 spoke, plain, light and no bling.

So a mate of mine lives in a trailer in Atlantic City and when I went over there a few weeks back I noticed a abandoned trailer nextdoor so we broke in so I could do some spraying on small objects in there (fogs and vents and so on)

Well in the back garden is a victim of the dreaded crankwalk, a basically immaculate mid to late 90s 4cyl galant. We took a good look over it and saw what we could take for sale on ebay, lights, panels shit like that and theyre all off it now in a pile waiting to be sold.

But I noted the rims were 4 lug and kinda nice. Not in their current state but I could picture them in black with the mitsi logo smoothed off on my tib.

And funny enough for a stock rim they have near on everything I like in a rim. Plain, 4 spoke and the spokes are open. These things compared to my hockenheim clones will take about 100% less time to clean, theyre veyr simple AND I can then paint my calipers and actually see them.

So they were growing on me more by the minute and I am lucky because my mate Tom works in a place with a proper sandblaster booth thing.

So last week Art (mate fom AC) and I took out the spare from the trunk of the mitsi and tried it on the tib, perfect bolt pattern and middle part match, it fitted perfectly :)

Then we noted that the rims had the exact same tires as mine so we realised these rims were 15" which is what I want. Fuck 17's they look so gay.

So last night Tom and I went up there, hydraulic jack lug wrench and a plank in hand (it was sunken into the dirt lol.)

Bit of a bastard but we got them off. Tires are wrecked but I dont care because I am getting Yokohamas (drool boing !) when theyre painted and done.

It wont even take that much tbh. My mate Jeremy has a tire remover and Toms gonna sandblast them for me (for my old rims like) and then its primer, black and lots of clear.

It's something else that has never been done AFAIK and I think theyll look nice :)

Best part was these pics reminded me of my childhood in london, I cant tell you how many motors I have seen dumped and sitting on bricks

we only just found it man, give us a chance it was 21 degrees yesterday

Victom of crank walk, but we have already taken the lights off and the interior panels. But yeah its getting stripped.. We rifled the empty trailer too and found some really neat old records and stuff, but it makes a cool spraybooth lol.
