Xenon amps

Post by PGsta14me »

What sort of current demands must I meet for running 2 Xenon1200.1s and a Xenon 200.4? How big of an alternator? I want to use the full potential of this set-up for local competition! All they have is SPL comp around here :(

If I tag 150 dB then I'll just barely beat the best score: 149.?? Think I could achieve this in a '96 Honda Accord?

Aha!! I was pulling for that info. Didn't really know if that was do-able with a trunk set-up.

I was thinking about using 2 12" DD 3500 series with one 1200.1 on each. Then run my elites ( ) and possibly dedicated midbass band-passed with the 200.4 up front.

X200.4 needs a 120 amp fuse for full power.Plus 2 X1200.1 more will be a buttload more current.
Try 300+ amperes if my math serves me right tonight... :)

and yes thats three separate welders dragging rod for a reference power level

Yikes. . .I'm starting to lose hope here. Something over 300A (and probably smaller!) is never going to fit in the stock location alternator location. As if things under the hood in this rice isn't already packed tight :x

You can't run your motor when testing for SPL can you ??? All the guys here have 5 battery's and a 250 alternator to charge them. But they complain the SPL tests are with the car off < not running> 12 volts only

I am not sure as I don't do this sort of thing < I am old> but I have several local clients that come around to pick my brain for ideas.
Thats how I got to see a Stetsom 7k three weeks ago. My LP guy came around with his friend asking me to hardwire 0 gauge to both amp sections bypassing the fuses

My buddy with the LP setup has 8 Linear power 4.1HV's and 5 batteries and 2 custom built 18 inch woofers at 8 ohms each in his suburban.. Its loud he hits 148+ all the time.

Yes definitely needs a flux capacitor for sure, and a small fusion energy source wouldn't hurt either

Thats what I like to hear, "A all or nothing at all attitude". Keep that mindset and you will go far in SPL.... :)

It will be hard.. Possible, sure.. with your current setup, who knows.. The guy i sold my old exile amp to, was able to break 150 in his grand prix at at a local show here last year.. He was also running 2 re sx's, and 2 exile 2400.1s in a box with interchangable ports... Either way, it will take a ton of work to accomplish, on the tl anyways.. The box is key.. I suggest several aero ports, maybe 4 or so 8) , but thats just me..
