Box for xenon 10

Post by bassix »

I'm going to be building a box for my cousins xenon10 and I'm not sure what volume to go with. The manual shows a large range : ftp://www.rodinaudio.com/Phoenix%20Gold ... Manual.pdf

anywhere from .42cft to 1.6cft. Can anybody give me a better idea of what size sealed box to make?

this is one of the more sensitive subs i have worked with for box size.

i would go with a range from .8-1.2

larger then 1.2 sounds sloppy

this is the sub i was making a box for in my box tutorial in the how to section

Is there a reason it recomends a bigger box for the d4 compared to the d2?

i have no ide why they would reccomend that. PG is known for typo's in manuals. i suspect that when entering the specs into the box simulation software, they just fat fingured a spec for the D4 and it came out with a larger box.
