Fixing up/New Install plans

Post by bdubs767 »

Okay to keep every one updated and a chekc list for my self lol.

1.) Finish/ Re-do the kicks. Im going to kind of steal this idea
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v644/ ... t=c6a9.jpg
And re carpet my entire floor. Currently I have not made my mind up on where I want the tweets. I have been experimenting between the kicks and pillars. I can get either to work well, but both have advantages and disadvantages, the main thing I have found is getting them on the same vertical plain in huge and not sure if I can accomplish that with them in the kicks but we'll see...I also really want to try the hiq OW-II int he kicks as the smaller dome will be far better in the kicks.

2.)Re do amp rack. Well I hope to replace the x100.2 w/ a x600.1 but well see. Either way Im taking the cover off and exposing the guts of both behind plexi. It will be mounted on my sub box, just cant make my mind up if I want to seal the sub off from the trunk or have it face out....

3.) Make custom Rca's, techflex all wiring, label, ect. Add the cap too.

4.) Add the tld66 and put it w/ the p9 proc hidden in the rear shelf out of sight.

5.) re carpet entire trunk to make it look as if the sub and amp rack are part of the car.

6.) may add one of those small POS amps for some back speakers, since I have an extra 2 channels that I can mute when ever I fell like w/ the p9. But if that happens be far down the road...

overall pretty simple install...but as we all know we always underestimate these things. If the weathers nice Ill start this weekend :D :D :D .

i was thinking about that same idea (the two with no covers under plexi.

you can mount them end to end that way. the only thing that detured me is it makes the RCA conections kind of exposed and weak. the cables i have take some serious effort to get on and off.

i've had tougher choices at a soda machine...

Update: Just bought a second pair of seas neos to experiment with tweets up high and in the kicks at the same time. Never done and for $40 why not  .
