Yah I did :)

Instead of masking tape I used alu foil (works very well and takes alot less time to line) and instead of fancy 'polyester fill' I used one old Tshirt with cotton and polyester..

Next stage is the sand and then bondo, cant wait for the bondo part !

Brian, it's already been 'defogged' and is getting a downey atlanta supercharger.

Lots of custom work on it though, altho very subtle..

M3 rims, lowered on bilstein adjustable with HID fogs & heads.

Piccy :)

daytime pic :)

We're going to be using a 300w amp by Orion :) powering one of the punch woofers I got free.

Cool part is the woofer is the same colors as his car (black and maroon).

Actually we are off to NY next week to get his rear bumper. He has ordered UK Astra GTE hood vents for the hood, theyll look ace.

OK more on the enclosure.

Two things he absolutely insisted on were -

Carpet, even though I have a fuckin great sheet of black pleather.

And a grille that will really protect and hide the woofer.

So, I didnt need to use metal glaze, I got away with gold bondo instead. Anyone who pays the $2 or so less and gets red bondo is lame. this stuff is fucking lovely.
Ill carve this bugger smooth with the dremel like I did with my pods, then carpet it.

And the WIP on the grille. Pretty complex one this, so itll take a while...

Image

This is just primer, the color will be the same as the outside of his car..

As will this, the ring off the punch.. Ill show it all together and how it mounts up soon :)

Well with the box now done it was time to do the amp.

Had a few ideas kicking around, a white amp would have looked pretty bad and I told my room mate if he painted it I would disown him. This amp is very clean and still has the manual and white rubber mounting things..

Anyway, so we started throwing ideas out there and I remembered he had given me a billet shift surround from a mustang bullet that he had in his tib.. Problem is it didnt fit mine 'cos mine is auto.. So, with that in mind we cut up an old tib speaker pod and made a surrounded grille, then I hatched the best plan, to mount the amp behind and go for as clean and stealthy as possible, and, it looks fucking brilliant.

Will absolutely be the cleanest install I have ever done.
