New pet (sort of)

Post by mr tibbs »

It seems we have a new resident in the pond in front of our apt, a wild Tundra Swan!! It's pretty cool, they are pretty rare to see around these parts so to have one spend a week here is pretty cool to see for me. The damn thing is huge too! He makes the Canadian geese around here look like ducks and the ducks look tiny as hell next to him.

We have swans out in Stanley Park. I saw some dude yesterday feeding them out of his hand... I kept hoping it would bite him, specially in the testicles.

Something must be wrong with my head.

Some people do that here with the geese, I may have hoped for the same thing from time to time!

Too kewl. We have the same pair of ducks return to our pond every year.

Here's a few pix of our new addition. Born 22 Jan - 4 male, 2 female litter. We select choice male after 11 Mar. Sire was 110 lbs. This is the bitch, Olive.

I got bit by a swan when I was little. A public lake in my area populates them here and I was attempting to pet the babies when I was attacked by the mother. I was too young to remember but my parents tell me it was quite the funny scene.

My bitch's eye? Well, she now knows when I say peas, I mean peas, not friggin' corn. I told her, "One more friggin time with the godamn corn and you won't see me for three days cuz that's about the time the swellin' will be going down over both your eyes. Got it? Now make me a sandwich."

Just kidding. :D

She had like a pink eye virus. It's all cleared up now. This breeder has the most outstanding facility I've ever seen. No collars, no leashes, no problems. These are intelligent dogs as well. There were three other litters around the same age.
We couldn't touch as the pups are too young and not vaccinated yet. Another week yet. These pix are 3 weeks ago.
