After a year or so with my Phatbox (Digital Media Player) installed, I've become annoyed at a slight roll off in the low end frequency response. My best guess is that it is due to the super low output voltage of the Phatbox, as I am certain it is not due to the quality of the source material being used.
Knowing of the low voltage outputs from the beginning, I installed the unit with the shortest preamp leads possible to minimize loss but there is still a rather significant difference in quality between the Phatbox and my head unit.
I was wondering if the addition of a line driver might help in this situation. Opinions?
Would a Line Driver help?
