this is probably a rediculous question, but i find myself curious...does it matter whether the slant is on the front or rear of a box, or will it defer standing waves the same either way. thnx in advnc

Acoustically it doesn't matter. Just build the box the way it fits your vehicle application the best.

Build it to spec like dedly said and make sure to take in account the air space required.
