LPL44 with Titanium amp question

Post by ELmx479 »

I would like to use the low pass level control with my Ti600 like I did in the past but i'm 99% sure it only works with the amp set to lowpass. I have the Alpine 9887 head unit and really like using the built in crossover with the ability to change the crossover point and the slope from 6, 12, 18, and 24db slope. To do that I have the amp set to bypass.
So what could I do to use the LPL44?

You can always set the sub crossover in the amp way high and let the HU control the main crossover point and slope like before. Running the sub crossover on the amp at 150 hertz will not hurt anything and you still get your fiddle points with the deck and still have the LPL functional....

You could make one for less. You just wouldn't have the PG sticker to go with it. I'm sure someone here can post a diagram. I just realized PG's new site doesn't have the old product literature or am I missing something?

I was wondering something about the LPL as well.
The brief instructions that come with it just say it works only on low pass, but I have the 500.4 and I want to be sure if it work on all 4 channels and not just the rear 2.

Thanks

Amp config setting must be LP to have any LPL effect.
You can set the Aux output to BY, then send full range signals to an additional amp for mid/high if you choose to use all 4 500.4 channels for LP.

Cut from the Ti500.4 Manual:
