Post by ELmx479 »

I can't seem to find what the efficiency rating is for the Ti400.2 and Ti600.2 Anyone know what it is or where I could find it? thanks.

Ok, thanks. I figured around 50 but wasen't sure if there was a spec on them or not. I know the Ti600.2 uses an 80 amp fuse at 4 ohms bridged which isn't too efficient.

I have a 100amp main fuse with a 600.2 and 400.2
Is that going to be ok or should I pick up a 130?

I did the math, just wanted to know if I could get by with the 100 thats in there now when I add the 400.2 and my components.

Well it darn sure won't hurt anything to use too small of a fuse. :wink:

Except the fuse I suppose.....

Well if you did the math you wouldnt need to ask us...

So here it is.

Assuming they are 4 ohm speakers and sub, your car is running at 14.4 volts.

Total wattage 800 watts

14.4 volts x Amps = 800watts

Amps= 800watts/14.4 volts

Amps= 55.555

55.55 amps double it because of the 50% efficency

So 111 amps

This is what I used. 600.2 at 4ohms bridged and 400.2 at 3 ohms stereo

I know the math I did came out to 130 I was just asking if it would be ok with the 100 untill I could find a 125 or 130 somewhere.

the 100 amp fuse should be fine. you'll very rarely approach the 130 amp draw under normal listening levels. add that to the fact that a 100 amp fuse can typically pass twice its rated amperage for a second or two and you'll be good to go.
