Difference between ZX350v.1 and v.2

Post by Johns98TA »

Hey guys,
What are the known differences between v.1 and v.2 ZX series amps? Specifically the ZX350. Is one more desireable than the other? Thanks in advance!

The ZX450 v.1 had a bug with the coolingfan so they fix that issue in v.2

There may be other things too, i`m not sure. So look for the v.2 if you are planning to buy one.

v2 is more desirable. The v2 is a fan upgrade. At the time, Phoenix Gold would upgrade the Zx350 to V2's under warranty.

I don't know the exact way PG did them, but I have have had 4 ZX series amps. One was clearly ZX350 and I had it sent back to PG and they did the upgrade for free, but they also put the v2 emblem on it (on the front is said Zx350v2). I have another ZX450v2, but it didn't have the v2 emblem on the front, It just said ZX450 but the serial number said zx450v2. The 2 other Zx350v2 I have had over the year have had v2 emblem on the front, but none of them had the v2 in the serial number.

Fan upgrade
Cover upgrade if the plexi windows were glued in (new rev the windows were secured by standoffs and screws)
Crossover frequency pot updated to black body if necessary (V1 were green)
Input ground resistor values changed.
