EQ232 help me?
EQ232 help me?
i have an EQ232 in my system and the other day it stopped working.
It has a fuse inside it, remove the cover and try replacing that first. If it fails again it will fairly quickly if it does. You can send it to PG/Rodin for a flat rate of repair. I think the price is $85.00 US.....You have to call them to get a RMS #, have a CC ready.
I have repaired a few of these over the years, mostly simple stuff like a failed IC, or a failed power supply. All pretty straightforward stuff, and YES defiantly worth the effort to repair. I Own 5 of these....
PS let them know its a RUSH job to be used in a show. They are pretty nice about things like this I am sure.

Its supposed to be a 2 ampere fuse ..
If it blows again you most likely have a bad power supply issue. I have replaced the toroids on these before. They can be bought from PG for about $7.00 each last I checked. And the two fets in front of the toroid will be bad also.
It happens sometimes when the toroid windings short on themselves, they take out the driver Fets also.
If the above is the case it will blow the fuse again right away, as a symptom of this trouble.
PG is pretty good about fixing these, and even I would have to order parts from them to get this repaired, So PG is your fastest ticket if thats whats wrong....
