SLD44 AUX in -- Promised for somebody?

Post by VW337 »

On the SLD44 you have high level and low level inputs you also have a switch to decide which of these you are using.

**This is only useful if you are using high level inputs to integrate from your OEM head unit.

Go buy your self a scrap of phone cord similar, open the SLD44 desolder the input select switch from the board and solder in the cord then solder the switch to the corresponding wires of your cable. Essentially relocate the switch on a cable so that you can access it while as you would an LPL.

now use the RCA inputs to feed your Aux signal into and use the relocated switch to choose your source.

OEM source on Hi-level and Ipod on low level, unfortunately your low level source will need to rely on its own audio level adjustment capabilities unless you wish to relocate the gain pot of the input as well.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.
