Thy 'No Limits" install begins again.

Post by smgreen20 »

Would you believe it? I bought some RCAs off of ebay a few weeks back, bought a 3rd set from the same guy last week, and another set from Brian. Now I'm ready to get started and can't find the 1st 2 sets of RCAs I got from ebay. :idiot: , Ans I know I put them somewhere that I'd find them when I went to do the install. You know I'm going to  when I find them.

Well, I'll start taking pics now and posting at night before bed. What I'm doing is, Amprack behind the rear bench seat w/the ZX450v2, DQS, Basscube, ZPA0.5, Distro blocks.

HU: Eclipse CD8455
-active set up

Amps: Phoenix Gold
ZX450v2- Fronts
ZPA0.5- Sub

Fronts: PG Elite6's

Sub: TREO SSi12.22
2.75 ft^3 box tuned to 33Hz per Wayne from TREO.

Ever do something and realize how stupid you are? I was looking all over for the RCAs, so I went to my truck to look around, then I found them. I'M USING THEM IN MY TEMP INSTALL!

Pics tomorrow.

i swear i am the absent minded prfessor when i'm installing. i loose my tools all over the shop/car and spend more time looking for them then using them.

can't wait to see the pics!

Sorry for not having pics up yet. Just got way behind. A friend of mine is moving back to Cali in less then a week and he wanted to hang out for a bit, so we went out.

Plus I've had to hunt down RCAs and other parts, supplies and the like. I just got the amp rack cartpeted and I glassed the door pods. Not enough hardender so they took a bit longer to cure. I MIGHT have to give it another coat. Hope not, as I want to get them in.

It's my plan to get the amp rack in Tues after work. Then the tweet testing/abuse will begin. Thanks again Greg.

I will get some sort of pics up soon, I promise.

Pics or ban right?

I had an SSi10.44 I was able to trade it in even steven for the SSi12.22 I wanted to go from a 2 ohm load on the amp to a 4 ohm load. That way if I ever decided to get a 2nd sub, I could drop it down to 2 ohms.

I kinda miss that 10. I think it was a pinch tighter, but this 12 kicks ass.

It does fairly well. Gains are barely turned up, like at 25% or so, and at volume 60 of 70, The ZPA does its rated power I have it set for at 900 wrms X 1 @ 4 ohms. But, that's also why I got the Audio Control DQS, built in line driver up to 10V + 30 bands of EQ PER channel.

Two full views of the amp rack. Best I can do, I can't get back far enough.

If you look in the last two pics, above the amp rack where the sheet metal is up to the plastic trim just under the window, I'm going to make a trim panel to go from top to bottom and all the way across. In the middle I'm going to use the extra clear plexi I have from the ZPA0.5 and put that in a light it up from behind to show it off. Give it some pazaz!

Yea there's a few. The neighbor house you can see to the right in the last two pics has had some of their stuff stolen, but then again, I refuse to leave my vehicles out of the garage over night and they don't have one.

There's no way in hell they get to any of it. The rear bench seat goes in front of it.

You like that do you? Friends of mine own a decal/audio shop and they made that for me.

There's 3/4" on the sides and 1 1/2" from the top for ventelation. When the seat is up the lower half of the amp is in the open and the sub box's port aims right at that amp. I'm not worried about the heat. The amps not doing its fullest, I've got it set at 900 wrms via the DMM method.
