New to this Forum and have some Q's
I read into the RSD10 manuals for recommended Enclose sizing. It's listing the enclose at .5 for SQ and 0.3 for SPL. That is extremely small, was there a misprint in their instruction or am I wrong in my thinking that each should have 1.3 to 1.5?

Thanks for the welcome and the responses. As I sit here and look at my RSD CS's, and RSD Coaxials I cant help but think about the sweet subs. I'll be tosing around some enclose ideas in the future, but another question comes to mind here.
How much space does the actual sub take up? So lets say I Grab up 3 -4 RSD10's: Gonna throw them in a cusom sealed enclosre. Ideally it will be a set up for around .5 but it needs to be .5+/- some with the sub installed and some poly fill.
I guess the short version is, What size compartment am I looking at in a sealed enclose with poly and the sub? around a .86 per sub?

lol, the .5 rating is NET. so .5 - .6 total airspace per subFat_boy wrote:Thanks for the welcome and the responses. Wow, thats gonna be a small box...My options just opened up alot. So realistically I can put them in a 12w x 12h x 10d giving me a net of .542 of air space, add the sub, enclosure bracing and poly and be all set?

Mine was 1.17 for for both which gave me .58 per sub. I figure I can add blocks if I want em tighter.Bfowler wrote:lol, the .5 rating is NET. so .5 - .6 total airspace per subFat_boy wrote:Thanks for the welcome and the responses. yessir! if you are gonna ad enclosure braces, you might add a bit of room because that will eat up a bit of airspace...but ultimately...you got it. this sub plays in boxes that are barley big enough to hold it!Fat_boy wrote:Wow, thats gonna be a small box...My options just opened up alot. its odd that the 12 wants at least 1.5...but not to get off topic now

Speakin of small enclosure's , I once used two bahn 15's and wanted them in a sealed enclosure and the specs to run the subs at full power 800watts rms a peice , called for 1.0 cf per chamber.
I got to say the SPL in my van was insane! ofcourse it was high frequency bass but I bet I could of won a few local comps
