Most any EQ with 4channels is gonna be an EQ & X-over combination. Unless you're talking about some 1/2 DIN dash mount style. Then they are limited to 4 - 7 bands of EQ. And alot of those have seperate volume control which is a PITA in my opinion.

bottom line is that im looking for an eq that will be aproprie for my friends rig. she, as far as my determination, needs to eq at least her fronts/rear doors....quite possibly subs as well. but does anyone eq subs... for me I guess I do but that's by default with eq being in HU. but would someone actually eq sub outs externally

oh and to add to that briefly.... I want her to get into one of the ti eq's but which one... theres no need for xover ability as her two amps have that...can xover functions be bypassed on eq's ...as they can on the amps?

look at the audiocontrol's they have a EQS or something 6 channel in and out , and each one has it's own bit of EQ

http://mobileaudiocontrol.com/product.a ... 1=5248&l2=

Great sound for six channels, all in one unit. Separate inputs and equalization for front, rear, and subwoofer speakers. The EQS has seven bands of full and half octave equalization control for the front and rear plus six, one-third octave equalization bands for maximum bass control. Add to that the Programmable Frequency Match (PFM) filter and a low output impedance line driver and you get maximum output and sonic clarity everywhere in the car. And to easily use a factory head unit, the EQS has built-in speaker level inputs. Truly a product for those who consider perfection possible

The only other EQ I would use besides a PG,

PG TEQ6
and PG TEQP4

Never had either of them. But may work for your setup?

Good call shaheen! That is probably the closest thing to what mhyde71 is looking for.

Yes! Audio Control and PG were always the best for outboard processing. AC only does processors. Thier build quality has always been great.

Check out smgreen20's install. Appears he is installing an AC unit now. He's using the DQS.
