So with a new ride comes a new system.

I'll be giving updates as I (slowly) go along. As with most other
projects, time and $$$ are the limiting factors in gettting this install
completed.

Quick update, I installed the RSD's last night and they sound awesome!,
much better than my Octane ZR's that are in my daily driver. I installed the tweeters in the sail panel so the soundstage is at the base of the windshield.
Sorry no pics, but I didn't finish till nearly midnight.
Right now they're only hooked up to the 880PRS internal amp, but soon they will be fed more power via Ti500.4 run active

I'll be filling the two 1/0 ga inputs with (surprise) 1/0 ga cable so the only one
left was 8.

Oh and it was left over from my old pickup install so I figured since it was only
5" long I'd save me some time and $ by using it. (Sorry Tom)
On a side note, just picked up my 1/0 ga cable for the big three and negative
run to the back of the car. Damn near had to take out a mortgage.
And yes, it too is red but who cares? The positive is blue so it isn't gonna hurt
to be red.

Update: Big three have been updated with 1/0 cable, and two runs of 1/0 gauge (1 for positive and 1 for negative)
have been run to the back of the car. Sorry no pics.

This last weekend has been busy! I never thought sound deadener would take so long (and leave so many small cuts). I ran all of wiring for RCA's, speaker cables, remote turn on, LPL, SDT, and SLD 44.
I also started glassing my subwoofer enclosure. I'd show you pictures, but it's my first attempt at fiberglass and it looks like crap right now so I'll spare myself the embarassment.
I'm hoping that it'll be finished by next week, but time is my biggest restraint.

Hey, we're all about first attempts here! It's boring seeing professionally built boxes made by some guy in a shop who has made thousands before. Here in the phorum we celebrate the individual who goes out of his way to do it himself! If you post pics of your box, we can offer suggestions at improving your next ones. This way we all learn

Nice work with the deadening by the way. I haven't had the balls to strip my car down for that yet, though it's pretty much the only thing left to be done with my stereo.

Alright, here is the pic of the enclosure...

It will sit in the drivers side corner of the trunk. The other half will have
the speaker mounting ring.

Seriously, it's the glasser's best friend. You can make the ugliest thing look nice with it. Slap on some heavy loads, let it dry, get out a sanding block, and go nuts!

Here was my first and only attempt at FG... sorry I don't have any before-bondo pics...

Update: Amps are installed! Finally. It took me quite a bit of time to get the wires
straightened out, but I finally got an integral part of the install finished.
All that's left now is to finish glassing the subwoofer enclosure. Speaking
of which I decided to scrap my original attempt because when I checked
the volume (and to see if it was air tight) by filling it with water, it leaked
like a sieve. And with all of the folds in the cloth, I didn't think I was going to be able to attach the 2nd half without problems/ more leaks.

Pics of the wiring and amps. Thanks to Twisted for the Onyx X600.1. Looks sexy with the black car.

During the install I accidently shorted the power wires for the Line Driver with my wire cutters.
No problem though, the fuses blew in the DD5, LED's came on red, and I knew which ones
to change out. Man that thing is handy! Saves tons of time.
