New member and new PG owner....with a question

Post by TX SS »

Hey guys -
Great site here. Been lurking for a while, but never registered as I didn't own any PG equipment....until today. This was a Craigslist special. From what I've researched, this is a MS2125 & MPS2240 (may be wrong here though). It is missing the bottom plexi plate and some type of bands that go across the top to attach the two. Probably never will be able to find those pieces! Both amps appear to be working fine, just need a good cleaning. Anything special about these or that I need to know? Thanks in advance.

DUDE!! I called him today but he apparently talked to you last night to set up the deal. Great buy!! You beat me by about 12 hours. :D

Nothing special or rare about these. It just looks like the endcaps where removed and the two amps were "butted" together, nothing bands them together. You can have a plexi made for the bottom to show off the guts. You can also find the manuals in this section of this forum for download. Let us know what you do with these/how you plan to install.

Congrats!! Oh, by the way I hit you up about a week ago for the Exile mids.

Thanks. I talked to him Tuesday night and met him after work yesterday. He said several other people had called.

I thought they were one unit based on this one I found. Do you think someone just put these together and had a piece of plexi cut for the bottom?

I remember your message about the exile mids. Were you able to get them from the other guy?

They're definitely two separate units. And yes it shouldn't be that hard to have a piece of plexi cut. It will look good if you do the same.

In the auction look close at the "bars" that are holding the two together--he used the mounting holes to attach it and it doesn't even fit properly. Just another one of his ways to make more money off people.

No go on the mids.

Picked up three more pieces. These aren't as exciting as the 2125 and 2240, but were too good of a deal to pass up.

Less than I paid for the 2125 and 2240. I needed these like I need a hole in my head, but I can't stop buying. But when people practically give the stuff away it makes it hard.
