Oh and stipud I'm asking you since i guess our musical tastes are quite similar (I like thrash, death, death/thrash, grind, grind/thrash/death, a little black metal and everything in between). I'm having trouble finding a sub that isn't all "rumble rumble", needs to be clear sounding and pack a good punch
RSD Comp 10 is the perfect subwoofer for you, my deathgrind friend
No rumble at all. That's what I love about the thing! It's the cleanest death metal sub I've ever heard
I really should post some videos...
Well that sounds kickass but the shipping price is very steep and there are no dealers here However i did get a great deal on a last year model Hertz Hi-energy 10".. the ones with 96db sensitivity
Okay.. hypothetically speaking lets say I was to go with the rsd Comps... what grills are out there that a PG Fanboy would appreciate?? or what is everyone else using??? I can not recall ever seeing any PG Grills, do they exist??

also, let me know if you can't find pictures of the Grill and i will snap a photo
both would be great B, as I haven't seen nor heard of anything like that.. albeit I haven't looked looked all that much, but just do not recall ever seeing before.. that would be great! Thanks B

wonder twat then folks are using or expected to use?? one could always go out and get any generic 12" grill, but I'd kinda prefer to have a PG grill, ya know?

I would kinda prefer getting the rsdc's but there seems to be some complications with getting grills to go on???.. for me, and yes it's somewhat retentive, but i kinda like to have everything come together just so.. and I like to have screened in grills like the W6's. And appearantly with going with the RSDC's I wouldn't be able to have either one (screened grills, and grills by PG). I am a little impartial to the metal bars as grills as stuff still can protrude to cone/sub.. and they would also be just generics as well.
I really wish PG had grills specifically for the RSDC's.. kinda disapointing..
Do the Treo's have grills???
Worse case as I have always kinda of liked soundstreams spider grills I might look into whether or not those would fit on the RSDC's, if I dont lean towards the way of the Treo's. Functionally speaking I lean towards the RSDC's as they are rated just a tad bit more than the tTreo's. Realizingn that may not amount to a hill of beans.. but the 2250 is rated for 2 x 517WRMS and i think i would prefer to have a sub rated for at least that and quite possibly then some. Does that make sense?? hope so.

If you want to use screen grills can you just make the sub-mounting face on your box rather thick and then sink the submounting ring so that the subs aren't mounting flush on the face of the subbox and then use a screen grill to cover the sunken sub?
I can't say that I've ever used a grill for any install. The closest thing would have been the carpeted panel that covered my 15's but that realy provided no protection.
Why don't you just use the JL mesh grill????????? It's not like they have any JL markings and will provide plenty of room for woofer movement. Just a thought----
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

I think the JL W6 grille snaps into the side of the sub basket... pretty cool design actually.
