Couple of questions about an MPS 2220

Post by Mr Marv »

Found this little jewel under the seat of my buddies old work truck. The rest of the system was stolen YEARS ago right after it was installed and since he never replaced anything else he'd forgotten the amp was there! :) After a little research here it appears they like a lower load to get the most out of them and I also saw that the caps should be checked being it is so old. A couple of things I can't find are how much power it actually does and what it is worth assuming it checks out well (physically it is in near mint condition).
Thanks for any info! :)

Did you find the manual? Although these aren't "real numbers", I bet they are close.

with a capacitor and some fans, 1/2ohm bridged is a distinct possibility

Thanks guys! I have the manual with those numbers however they are at 12v. I read these are a bit under rated so I was hoping to find the actual power output at different loads before deciding whether to use this in the new system or just get another amp.
