Honeymoon Pics!!

Post by mr tibbs »

So, I'm back with a whole slew of pics. Me and the misses just got done uploading them to photobucket, here is the link.

We went to a time share resort (thanks parents!) near Cancun, Mexico. Turns out the resort is in between Cancun and another big city called Playa Del Carmen. Because of this the resort tried to "trap" you there. Honestly the resort sucked ass. The grounds and the rooms were great, but the way it was managed was horrible, I'll go into that later though. With that being said we still had a GREAT time!!

We went to 3 different Mayan ruins sites including one of the new wonders of the world Chichen Itza. The other two were Tulum and Coba. Coba has the tallest Mayan pyramid in the Yucatan and they actually let you climb it!! Check out the pics, we did climb it and it was unreal.

We also found some time to go into a few of the cities around there to check out the local flavor. We did go into Cancun, but only spent a few hours there. To be honest I really don't think that Cancun is our kind of town. The Hotel/tourists area we were in just seemed to be one big night club. The other town named Playa del Carmen on the other side of the resort seemed to be more our style. On our last night there we went into Playa del Carmen to have one last dinner out and it was great! We went to a Mayan restaurant after walking around for a while. We both got a damn good dinner about 6 or 8 drinks between the two of us and a fantastic desert. We spent two hours there and when the bill came it was about $75usd. We gave the waiter a $20usd tip so we were still under $100, we loved it!

I could go on and on so I'll just end with we had a great time and I highly recommend going to Playa del Carmen and seeing the ruins. It was one of the best trips I have ever had!! If you guys have questions fire away! I know there are a lot of pics, that's why I tried to break them up into different folders.
