rsd12's ported?

Post by capitolj80 »

so i know that you guys rave about how awesome the rsd12 sounds in the 1.8cu sealed box...i was wondering if anyone's actually tried it out in the ported box...i noticed that PG recomends 3.2cu wth a 3x6" round port (for the sq version)...if anyone's tried it out yet, how much spl do you gain (if any) and how much does it give up on freq responce and overall SQ...btw, i mostly listen to punk and techno, so i really need that sweet balance between "tight" (for the rock) and "slutty ass pounding" for the techno...i know you cant truly have it totally both ways, but i wanna come as close as i can...thnx dudes
what if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
