so about what kinda wattage will the 1200.1 do at a realistic 13.5 volts...i was thinkin 900-950...if it's about 1000 @ 14.4 (the 1200 is @ 100hz), then that seems to make sence. im kinda hopin im mistaken and it does 1000 @ 13.5-13.8v cus my rsdc12's are appearantly gonna want all they can get...also, how good, comparitively, is the 6.36 damping factor....almost thinkin about goin for the kicker zx1500.1 (cuz it should do at least 1300 @ 13.5v) or JL 1000/1 (cuz it's supposed to make full power at 11v and have crazy damping) :shock: ...hopin someone'll talk me out of it :wink:[/i]

Realistically, well over 1200 watts. PG always rates low on 12v (they used to do this to cheat in comps, especially with MPS gear). Any PG amp I have tested plays it's rated power into 12v, and will only give you more headroom at 14v.

PG could limit their amps like JL does... then you would make 1200w from 12v-14v, instead of 1200w-1500w from 12v-14v. Now which is better? :roll:

The advantage of heavily regulated amps, like the JL's, is that they will do their ratted power when the voltage is low. Meaning they will do 500 watts from 11v-14v. But as stipud explained the RSD's will come alive and with less regulation will not be regulated to a set limit, thus producing more output wattage at a higher voltage.
