PG 15's?
Okay so i finally got my rsd 12s running really good. i have some 0 gague wire and stuff in there and everything. Theyre loud but i really would like something way louder. Does Pg make anything like this that i could run off my tantrum 1200.1?

More woofage is always the answer!!!!!!!!!!!! If yer at 4 cubes now, why not run 2 more 12's. I take it you currently have single 4's right now.. 2 more 4's and run them in series parallel off that amp. That's how I ran 4 Ti12's off that same amp and it was thunder.
These need .78 cubes minimum per the manual.
It's what jesus would do

Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
Porting is the cheaper easy way, but having 3-4 12"s sealed would still be louder then 1 12" ported or = to 2 12"s ported. Theoreticly that is.

We dont even know how much space he has. 4 12s is going to take up alot of room. He is better off doing 2 ported. Ide put my money on 2 12s ported being louder.smgreen20 wrote:Porting is the cheaper easy way, but having 3-4 12"s sealed would still be louder then 1 12" ported or = to 2 12"s ported. yeah, trying the 2 ported first is the way to go.
adding more speakers means adding more amps, or taking power from the speakers he already has.
if 2 rsd 12's ported isnt loud enough for you...you are going to have to climb a big next step to get the sound you are looking for. starts getting very expensive

I've run ported in the past when I had my Silverado, but I felt the trade-off for louder bass wasn't worth the compromise in quality. You can definitely get massive sound with a ported enclosure, but first you're going to need to determine the maximum area you've got to work with, and also what Hz the box should be tuned to. Also, you'll need to determine which port style to go with. Just to get an idea, you can use a calculator to determine box dimension and port length, etc. Something like this from 12volt might give you a head start:

There are also lots of resources (or used to be) on the Sound Domain Forum. You might be able to find something under the Subwoofer Solutions section. It took me awhile to realize that sealed enclosures are for me. Of course a lot of that's going to depend on your main musical tastes. I like hard rock and lots of stuff with kick drum and hard beats, so sealed works like a charm for me.

I wish PG did make some 15's other than the older titaniums. The newer comp subs from PG could use a 15 to add to the line but increase the power handling to 1500 rms for 15's , 12's 1200 rms and the 10'' to 1000 rms.

There are plenty of good 15' subs on the market right now. What kind of bass are ya looking for?
I use a Audiobahn Immortal 15'' and it pounds and I am partial to Audiobahn for SPL. But I hear a company called Powerbass makes some decent 15''s but they take a ton of juice. Someelse will chime in and list scords of good brands

Keep the speakers and get a better enclosure. When I first bought my two Ti Elites I built a ported enclosure per PG specs. It sounded good but didn't have enough output for my tastes. So I had Pete K design me a new enclosure and the differance was like night and day. They still had very good sq and played very loud and hit hard as hell. Here's the link http://pwkdesigns.com/.
