SUGGESTIONS FOR 400.2

Post by deathcloud »

So I got a 400.2 from thedeal (LOVE THE AMP BTW GREAT AMP) but was wondering how I should wire it here are the specs

Into 4 ohms Stereo @ 12.5 Vdc (IASCA/USAC) 37 x 2
Into 4 ohms Stereo @ 14.4 Vdc 100 x 2
Into 2 ohms Stereo @ 14.4 Vdc 200 x 2
Into 4 ohms Bridged @ 14.4 Vdc 400 x 1

what i mean by wiring it is how do I run the wires to the amps so I get the most power out of it? Bridge it and have both wires there? Never thought about doing that but i dunno.... Let me know if i confused you basically heres a pic using typing

left - left + right - right +
- + (have both neg and both pos together for bridged.)

that means I should get 200 rms into each speaker right? my speakers are of course rsd65cs. is that too much?

no sure im fully under standing your question.

for component sets, you want to run on channel each side.

if you bridge it...not only will you be running the amp at 2ohms bridged (which it can handle...it just isn't the friendly thing to do) but you wont get stereo sound
