Quetions about setting up a PG Ti 900.7...

Post by onecrazy95civic »

I’m in need of answers to my questions in regard of a Phoenix Gold Ti 900.7!!! I’m about to purchase one and want to confirm that I can do the following with the amp:

1. Front output: Run 2 set of Ti Elite 5 w/one crossover (now can that be
done?) I would wire one speaker and jump to the other (in series).
2. Rear output: Run 2 set of Ti Elite 5 w/one crossover (now can that be
done?) I would wire one speaker and jump to the other (in series).
3: Sub output: Run a set of Ti Elite 9

Also a question about the center channel output…if you look at the manual they show a possible set up with one Ti Elite 5 speaker and tweeter…my question is how would that be possible…meaning would you be using only one half of the Ti Elite crossover?

As for the 2 Ti 15d subs they would be powered by one Ti 800.1 (yet to be purchase). Any suggestions would be appreciated. By the way if I buy the Ti 900.7 I’ll be putting up for sale my 2 PG Reactor amplifiers…

You can't run two sets of speakers on one passive crossover. It changes the impedance, which changes the crossover frequency. Not good.

Sub output is lowpass only. The 9M's need to be highpassed at about 50Hz as well, so you will need some sort of external crossover to do this.

Yes you would only use one half of the crossover to run a center channel elite. I would recommend not crossing it over, and using a midrange instead. The center of your dash is a terrible place for a tweeter; it causes lots of reflection and painful treble noises.
