While building my new box, I was cleaning up for the night and I had a sheet of 49"x97" MDF laying on the tailgate of my truck and the other end was on a horse stand.
I had a second sheet, about 60% left, on top of that that I was cutting and as I went to pick up the sheet I moved it to the edge to get my fingers under it and as I tilted it, it slipped. Dropped about 40" straight onto my right foot.
Behold my pain.
Makes walking a bitch. We went to WalMart to get out groceries, that's why I had to clean up, and I used one of their "old woman" motorized carts. I felt like an ass.
At most it's fractured, but I think it's just swollen. Hurts like hell.

Ouch. We had an early snow storm one year just before Thanksgiving. I was going on a long trip, so I decide to swap the snow tires in the snow just before we left. While carrying a tire, I slipped and almost fell but in the process I slammed my foot in to the jack. Trying to catch my balance. My foot was sore for 4 months. In the summer, I had a flare up where I could barely walk, this happen a few times that summer. The doctor said I must have done cartlidge damage and I was breaking down the scare tissue. I haven't had any problem since that summer, but it sure took a long time to heal.

Makes me think, a friend of mine was carrying his sub box w/3 JL 12w6 (gen 1's) IN the box, he slipped about 6 step from the bottom of his basement and positioned himself to "save" the subs/box. He landed on his elbow and was swollen for about 2 weeks.
He was complete pain when he hit, but as many of us are, he stood up w/the look of pain and asks "Are my subs OK?" I've been there.

I think the worst I ever did to my foot was when I was re-plumbing the house. I dropped a 2 foot long piece of old 4" cast iron drain pipe on my toe. I know it was broke, but I limped around on it for about a month before it finally started feeling better.
pressure washing the deck with sandals on (yeah...this can't go good)
the hose gets caught in between the boards on the deck
i pull the "gun" to free the hose, which comes loose suddenly and my momentum carried the nozzle around past my foot.
i blew a 1 inch wide, 1 inch deep hole in the top of my foot.
i just stood their in shock for a second...then noticed the blood rising out of the wound....then i snapped out of and wrapped it and had my mom take me to the hospital.
only 8 stitches though!
my ex-girlfriend said "its car audio or me"
i've had tougher choices at a soda machine...

I'll bet it's got ya walkin all fuked up too......
I had a 48x60 solid oak pallet standing on end fall over and land on the top of my foot.... It swelled up so fast that I had to cut the strings with my razor knife. All my toes turned black/purple within 15 mins......NO BROKEN BONES... and I passed the wiz-quiz.....
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
