This is why I don't go to other forums for car audio information.one of the best sounding neons ever had everything stock except for a deck... my buddy installed the CDA-9887 and used the Imprint manager to tune. The manager hooks a mic up to a laptop and tunes the deck for you... honestly imaged more then you could even believe... best sounding car in my area... just imagine the potential if you added amps and decent speakers... if your serious, you should REALLY REALLY REALLY look at this deck.. its relatively cheap too

I found this quote on an SRT forum and just had to share with you guys.
Well the thing you gotta remmeber is that the average stock stereo system in a new vehicle sounds better then the average thrown together aftermarket system.
Im not saying that stock stereo's are awesome, just saying that 80% of the people who put aftermarket crap in ther car have no idea what they are doing.

I atleast learned some shit by watching and listening before I opened my mouth with an opinion....
I'm not claiming to know everything cuz I only know enough to make hearing loss enjoyable...

Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

The sad thing is there are people walking away from that post believing it! And that it's more and more common. Some people will spend allot of time going on and on and the longer the rant the more they think people will listen because it appears they know what they are talking about. Brian's post from the BMW forum being a good example.

Or... maybe not as eloquently said...dwnrodeo wrote:I'm with FuzzyHoNutz with this one. If you don't know for sure what you are talking about then just sit back, keep your mouth shut, and maybe you will learn something. I think it was Abraham Lincoln who said, "Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

If you don't know enough to separate shitty advice from good advice, then maybe you'll learn the hard way and know better the next time.stupid is as stupid does.
If somebody believes the single best thing you can do to a stock system is replace the HU then go for it, drop a few bills on a nearly negligible upgrade. Your car already has an HU, but wait no sub and no amp to power it. If you add something that is not already there then you have a vastly more noticeable change, but what do I know.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.
