Food disposal

ofcourse our food disposal is on the fritz; asked wife to never use it b/c then they go bad, that was 4 years ago when we bought our home new-anybody, any ideas, when i hit the switch u can hear it faintly trying to spin, so id say it has power, any ideas, or suggestions to check? thanx Christian(gotta save money where we can b/c we both lost our jobs)

ok....so what seems to be going on? Just not grinding? or....it's grinding but is clogged? or...?

its trying to move but wont; turned off circuit breaker and found 5-6 pebbles from fish tank, got those out , turned power back on and still jammed, looks like an allen wrench from underneath, so , ithink, ill try & see if i can move the motor that way?(nasty in there,

ok, so , just throw this thread away; got all pebbles unjammed, shop -vac wouldve been better than needle nose to get rest of pebbles out, but it works fine now

Ya...I was gonna say it was probably clogged!

thats what usually happens to mine...(I TELL THE WIFEEEEE....DONT PUT TOOO Much down there...RUN COLD Water....)....

well she gets to peeling potatoes....carrotts....and other things...and she just shoves it all in there at once...and goes and cleans the fridge finds all the old food....and crap...shoves it in there.....

next thing you know...she's put too much...and it wont go down....
This happened like 4 or 5 times now....
and she runs warm or sometimes hot water....ughhh...

Cold water is always best...cuz the thing is GRINDING.....and CHOPPING...which causes the motor to heat up....killing it faster if it gets to that point...

I can't tell her anymore..cuz she just gets upset...hehe...so I just wait till it gets clogged....hehe...then unclogg it for her....I feel like a gynecologyst and have to stick HALF my arm down the sink to unclog it.... sheesh. thats one Vagina I dont want to have to stick my hand up it.

i know, its like, cant u just throw it in the trash, exactly, it makes kitchen sink area wreak-thanx wakeup-
