So I want to upgrade my deck because I feel like that is what is holding me back. My old deck is kind of old and I think I could have better sound if i upgraded my deck. Kenwood has had some great stuff lately and I want to make that change to Kenwood. Now out of these decks which one would you get.
KEEP IN MIND
I have a 30 gb ipod
I use burned CDs sometimes
I don't really use the USB because I have an IPOD
I heard the x991 has tripple 24bit DA converter so that sounded nice
so here are the decks I am looking at now I don't care about the screen because I don't look at it and not a show car I care about clarity and musical reproduction.

Now I know crossovers are a big thing on getting the best sound, so I don't know if I should trust the crossovers on my xenon 200.4 or use the decks crossover or use an external crossover. I never know which one will be better. But maybe you guys can suggest something there. I have a SLD-44 line driver just in case you were wondering. So let the opinions fly!
OH and if it makes any difference my deck that is installed is the Alpine CDA-9855 it says 4-volt preouts but it doesn't seem like it at all lol
Which deck should I get and why? CHOOSE OR LOSE!

Ya, your Alpine is probably closer to 2.5v. lol
You will use the USB for your I-pod connection.
That web site is wrong. You don't need any adapters for you i-pod on the 5/6/792. Only the 991 would need it
All of those mentioned have 24 bit d/a's.
All have the same eq'ing and x-overs.
Displays aside .. throw them all in a bag a pick one. Styling and operation about the only difference. I seriously dought you would hear any differences. All are very good sounding head units.
Personally I would sooner trust the x-overs in an amp then in the head unit. But the ease of adjustability at the head is nice too. An external x-over would make an analog set-up easier to tune but wouldn't make a difference over the amp's x-overs.
Of those to select from, given your requirements .... KDC-X592 .. It's the least expensive of the 4
