Amp rack ideas
I want to mount my RSd500.4 and the RSd600.1 in my trunk toward the front infront of the spare tire wheel well.I want to make a rectangle shaped amp rack to put them in with plexiglass over it and put the factory trunk carpet back over that so that they are unseen. My concern is the amp heat since the plexiglass top will be maybe 1/2" over the amps. How would i get rid of the heat in tight place like this?
FANS..........
Sounds like you'll need to get a couple fans to get some good airflow.
Pix of yer trunk may help us better understand yer vision.....

Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
Fans, fans and more fans. Make some sort of air intake on one side, and exhaust on the other. The RSDs have all heatsinking along the sides. Make sure the air can get out of the compartment somehow... you may have to cut slats in your trunk floor.
You will have to have a very big spare tire well if you want to fit those two amps in there without raising your floor.

3/4 oak or birch plywood makes a good mdf alternative. (more layers the better)
the amp rack shouldnt need anything too special because you dont have to make it air tight like a sub box. you could probably even use a skill saw
