MS2250 Fan shroud?
Does anyone know if this shroud is needed? I mean...will the MS2250 operate properly without the shroud without overheating?
it is needed, otherwise pg wouldn't have bothered with it

the TA's are a differant beast altogether, they are 2ohm mono stable but don't make the power the shrouded ones do at 4ohms mono...sq_assasin wrote:So if I run an MS2250 without the shroud, seeing as I can't find it, it will overheat?
If this is the case, then why don't the TA's have a shroud?
what were you gonna run off it?

The PG built shroud was designed as a way to display the guts of an MS amp. Because you needed to flip the amp upside down, it was important that a fan be introduced in order to help dissipate the heat now that the heat sink was facing down and heat rises. The amps will work fine without the shroud in a normal mounting situation. Air circulation around ANY amp is important. If heat does become an issue, any fan will do the job.
