Got almost everything now

Post by Phoenixcolt »

Nothing too special yet, but here are pics of the stuff I will be using for the initial install before I get my subs in a few months or so.

A power wire is already run from the battery that will suffice for the 500.4 but I will have to run the new, much better, interconnects and make my pods from poster tubes for the mids. Also gonna have to run the speaker wire from the 500 to the front doors and dash.

All I need now is some warmth outside...

Yup, it's the Clarion DXZ955MC. I got it brand new but the model is a few years old, but I had the unit under this one a few years ago and it was amaxing so this one will be even better...though the way speakers have to be set up is a little out of the ordinary..

I used the touchscreen on the unit with the really curvy face and I loved it, the dxz845mp I believe.

Are you saying specifically the 955mc unit I have pictured?

If so, what don't you like about it?

Im talking about the one you have pictured. I never cared about touch screens. It was just hard to manuever through the menu sometimes. The unit itself sounded pretty good though. Maybe you will have better luck, but I just never cared for the touch screen on that unit.

I'll let you know. If it is anything like the last one I had though, i will love it because before that everything had to be done with the analog buttons and maneuvering thru those menus was a b---h. You remem this one at all? I used this one before the 845mp and it was rough:
