Amp wiring kit help

Post by nelobynature »

I'm going to be running two amps (one 4 channel 300.4 & one mono 500.1) I ordered two of the following 4 gauge kits.

but after doing more research it seems i should've just ordered a dual amp kit, which includes a distribution block.

Now my question is; how can i make this work? because all the dist. blocks seem to have a larger input with two smaller outputs, so my best option would be maybe to buy a 2 gauge power wire and a 2 to 4 dist. block, since i already have two 4gauge power wires??

thankss

You could do 2 runs of 4 gauge. I have heard of people doing that because in some cars its easier to route that then a thick 0 gauge wire.

I figured one cable latched on, would take over the who battery terminal..how would I fit two onto it?

and wouldn't it be cleaner running a two gauge up to like the firewall, attaching a dist. block against the fire wall, and continuing the parallel 4 gauge from there on?

i'm sorry if these are dumb questions, but this is my first install.

get yourself a car audio battery terminal. Should have multiple in. would probably cost the same or less then getting a 2 gauge wire and diastro block.
