Can You Help Me ID This Song?

Sup everyone, I spent an hour and a half listening to this song and extracting different portions of the lyrics and googling them to see if I could figure out what song it was, but I came up with nothing. This song is from like 2003/2004 or a little before. I have no idea who it is and it is driving me crazy. It isn't even that I love the song or anything, it's ok, but I just have no idea who it is and can't even find the lyrics in google which has rarely happened...I have had this song in my library for years and never had a title for it, always left it as "not sure". It is early '00s rock.

I thought it might be Chevelle, Sparta, or Boy Hits Car but I couldn't find it under any of these artists...unless I was looking in the wrong spots because it really sounded very Chevellish.

The song starts like this:
