I just wired it down to 1 ohm, and wow, even better results.. This sub is just as loud, if not louder, not to mention sound waaaaay better than my 2 l7 15s I had a few years back. The sad part is that, this sub is only getting about 1/3 of what It can handle daily, and its still as loud, if not louder, and this thing drops loooooooooooow. I am going to try to get a vid up tomorrow.

Also I know many people here dont like how the wires come out of the sub, but in all honesty, its much easier, because you dont need any added speaker wire.

I really like the looks of that sub. I wonder how this sub would compare to the rsdc124.

I am interested at the HDC312 it looks pretty cool. and for one sub 1000rms! wow My xenon would only power 1 of those subs lol. But they look well made...

I have not personally compared the 2 side by side, but ide imagine the rsdc sounds better. with that being said, the hdc is no slouch in the sq department like I said. Its not a sq sub, but it does not sound bad by any means. As for the 1000rms rating, they are lying to you  People have put their 2200.1 mono blocks on them, and they still wanted more power. With that being said, if pg does not come out with a 2kw amp soon, then I may have to make the switch to using their amps. They have fantastic prices on everything, and the build quality of the sub is second to none.

These subs keep getting louder and louder by the day as the suspension loosens up. The air these things move in the car is deadly, and the best part is, they are musical. Actually has tight, and pretty fast bass response. They keep amazing me. From this sub, their is nothing to really upgrade too, as it doesnt get much better than these for my purpose atleast.

Well, I am going for round 2 tomorrow, I will be building another box, since I accidently tuned this one wrong to begin with  box will be 6.3 cubes tuned to 39 hertz. These subs like being tuned high, but they still smash the lows. Will have pics tomorrow. port will be 8 inches wide. port area is 156 sq. should be much louder than my box now.

I was making another box, and even have the wood and all, but lowes messed u my cuts. Overall I am very happy with this box, and sub. This thing has tight bass, and does it drop low.. This thing will hurt you. Simply put. I can't wait to get my second one, and run audioque 2200.1 @ .5 ohms for close to 4kw between the pair :)

How bout some vids?

I like the remote clipping LED. Would be very handy indeed for my LPL!

Makes me wonder why they rarely put them on amps anymore. I know they aren't totally accurate, but it at least gives people some sort of a warning when they have their "volume" (gain) cranked up.

The amp will do 3.5kw at 16v, which I wont be running it at, but I am debating getting a recone, and getting the aluminum coils, so I can run it at .5 ohms, to get that 3kw+ out of it.. Hmm More pix of new stuff is yet to come.

Thanks.. Yea the amp accepts 0 guage.

Image

In this pic, the blue wire is kickers hyperflex 0 guage wire.. the orange and black wires are 8 guage for the sub  . As far as power is concerned, yes, it blows the xenon away. It was definately louder once I made the switch to this amp. Also seeing as this amp works, that proves the point of my xenon being broke, which I have yet to ship it out yet..

Damn, looks nice. I have an AQ sub myself, and it's probably all I'll need, even on just 600wrms it pounds, and blows my brother's 1000+wrms ID system out of the water. Nice choice on the setup again, hope you don't break much else with the second sub

Update!! Well lets just say this amp is a monster.. My sub is having some issues handling the power this beast puts out, or maybe I am just to hard on my subs. Either way, I am ordering a recone so that I can have the aluminum coils instead of the copper ones I have, which will solve the issue of power handling.. Alum coils should be good for 3kw. Also, I am getting another hdc 18 aswell. Stay tuned for more.

Stipud I was about to make a vid, but I am going to wait until I get the better coils, because the sub is struggling with the 2400 watts or so..

The brand is audioque. I Have a 300 amp fuse for the amp, but 150-200 is sufficient for it.
