So now he is offering $150 in private email (I am pretty sure Paypal locked up $700 from his account). I haven't responded yet to him, I initially asked for $250hi...Now I'm in the middle of trouble, my friend said it was really in good condition and I really trust him, in the other hand I really don't know who you are. I don't think you could repair them for less than $250 though........ But if there's a more than good chance ya might not get anything back then it's a hard decision..........

Get as much as you can. Tell him straight up you are pushing this thru to ebay. Tell him you checked the SN's on the board and they match...see what he says...who cares what else. He F'ed you...now F him back...tell him you think ppal will give you the money (in Private) hehe...unless you think he may retalliate. I hate F-ers like that...I dont swear much or at all, but that just pisses me off....
Tell him the dust is still there on the inside. the boards havent been touched by you only to open it up etc. and the dust/repair work is NOT NEW....and the flame damage is not new...you can tell...there's ways to tell if the damage is days old let alone months or weeks....
(smell....dust....if it's been cleaned etc....)
dont clean it dont wipe the dust....leave it the way it was...don't try to repair or fix the damaged areas till you are satisfied that you get what you deserve back.
And you may even be able to threaten look why are you responding in private? use ebay's messaging system etc....and say you are willing to forward those messages to Ebay proving that he is at fault by AGREEING to even pay you anything back at all.

I accepted a refund of $225 to resolve this. While I still feel like I came up a little short, I am going to take what I can get and run. This seller is in Indonesia, so I think I am even fortunately to get what I can.
